The room itself was beautifully decorated with the most comfortable bed and garden, for instance. The staff were wonderfully helpful yet not intrusive. Location: the hotel was just off a really nice restaurant, the shared garden, and Barrydale.

This place is conveniently located near a great local restaurant, delicious homemade jams, and a vineyard, within walking distance to Mez Karoo Kitchen where I enjoyed dining.

Nicola, the host, was incredibly helpful and made our experience memorable. the property is in a peaceful location and has a rich history, adding to its charm. We loved relaxing in the lovely little plunge pool and Nicola even recommended and pre-booked a table for us at a delightful restaurant just a short stroll away. the attention to detail and warm welcome were much appreciated. Thank you, Nicola, for the perfect stay!
Nothing could have been better—it was perfect! 😊.

Friendly owner, provided fresh fruit and sympathy. Room had sitting area and fabulous shower. Excellent breakfast with variety. Hostess knowledgeable about nearby attractions. Gas and wall heaters, hot shower, plenty of toilet paper. Quirky room, booked us dinner at local restaurant. Outstanding breakfast with homemade baked beans and preserves. Great choice for R62 stopover.

Great value for money, cozy room with lovely decor. Convenient location and the owner, Nicola, goes above and beyond to make your stay remarkable.
Breakfast delights could benefit from a wider variety of options. Some milder flavors would be appreciated.

Upon arriving at the charming bed and breakfast, I instantly fell in love with the cozy atmosphere and warm welcome from Nicola. Even though it was dark, the rooms had a spacious and homely feel with beautiful decor. Waking up to stunning mountain views from the saltwater pool was truly invigorating. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with delicious homemade jams and pate. One drawback was that it was cash only, but luckily there was an ATM in town. Although our stay was short, it left us longing for more time at this perfect stopover on the Karoo. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We had an amazing stay at the Whitehouse in Barrydale! the hostess, Nicola, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. She booked a restaurant for us before we arrived and the food was exceptional. We loved the quaint venues along the main road and the fresh fruit in our room. We would definitely stay here again!
We felt very well taken care of, with nothing to complain about.

The hostess was very friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants and we enjoyed them. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and other amenities.
We had difficulty controlling the temperature of the shower water and the bathroom window did not properly close, leaving us somewhat exposed. The TV in the room did not work and the mini electric oven with hob was in need of replacement.

The value for money at Whitehouse was incredible - we got so much for what we paid! The room was clean, comfortable, and just perfect for our stay. The location was scenic and peaceful, and the staff treated us like family.
The breakfast selection could have been improved with some meat and cheese options.
